FRAMINGHAM, MA-Junior Bruins forward Jarrett Scarpaci has made his college choice and he will be headed to the University of Connecticut next Fall.


The 5’9, 165 pound forward from Billerica, MA starred for four seasons at Billerica High School as an Indian. In his career, he led the team to the Super 8 Tournament multiple times and finished as one of the most outstanding performers in school history.


Jarrett joined the Junior Bruins at the midget level on the Little Bruins in the Fall of 2000. That Fall, he played in 27 games scoring 11 goals and 10 assists with 34 penalty minutes. In the Fall of 2001, he once again was a member of the Little Bruins, but fighting injury, only played in 18 games, but had a 5-8-13 line while a +6 with 40 pims.


Following graduation, Scarpaci signed on with the Junior Bruins where his game really took off. He got off to a sizzling start to the season and never looked back. He used his great speed, body strength, and good hands to get the job done time and again and was a key player throughout the year. Never was he better than in a game in October at the Compuware Fall Classic when he scored four goals in a 7-6 win over the Georgetown Raiders.


In all, he played in 70 of 73 games, scoring 31 goals and 34 assists for 65 points, and was a +40 with 3 game-winning goals. In addition, he was named to the EJHL All-Star Team and was named a Hockey Night in Boston All-Scholastic.


Scarpaci is one of 9 Bruins to commit to a Divsion I program this past season and one of 10 to commit to a college. The staff is proud of Jarrett’s hard work and patience to achieve his goals.
